Install Location Label Printing from Receiver Held for Backorder

A feature to allow the user to print Install Location Labels at the time of receiving for products received in the Held for Backorder screen. The user will then take these labels and apply them to received products to indicate the Customer, Job and Order they belong to. The user can also print Install Location labels from the Label Printing Manager at the Receiver as well.

• Upon entry of a Quote or Sales Order, there are two columns in the Order Entry Screen typically for Plumbing and Lighting Showroom or Project oriented orders. They are:

  • Install Location

  • Label Qty

• Previously, these could only be printed from Sales Order>Label Printing Manager

or

• Within the Shipper

• Upon Posting > Packed Stage> and selecting Packing tab and selecting the Label Printing Manager Button

This is what an out-of-the box Install Location Label looks like, but can be designed accordingly for your business:

However, now these can be printed from the receiver within the Held for Backorders Screen or the Label Printing Manager button on the Receiver.

Printing Install Location Labels from Held for Backorders Screen

• Open a Purchase Order that is ready to be received.

• Click on Status

• Double Click the Blue Receiver.

• Fill in items to Receive. Post to Received. NOTE: You must post to ‘Received’ first for the ‘Held for BackOrders’ screen to appear.

• The new Held for Backorders Screen will appear.

• It will display the following columns in the following order

  • Part Number

  • Quantity Received

  • Order #

  • Order Line #

  • Quantity Order

  • Install Location from the Sales Order

  • Label Quantity from the Sales Order

  • Print checkmark indicating it can be printed

• Edit Label Quantity

  • A user is able to click on Label Quantity for a given product and change the quantity. The number of labels is limited between 1 and 12.

Select or Deselect printing of Install Location Label

• A user has the ability to select or deselect the Print of an Install Location Label

Selecting template and printer for printing

• The user has the ability to select the desired template and printer for printing.

• Print Labels

  • Then Print the number of labels equal to label quantity field for selected items to selected printer segmented by order number and part number

• Upon selecting Print

  • Print information is sent to the printing server for further processing.

• Click OK

• You will be returned to the ‘Held For Backorders’ ccreen. Click OK again.

• And if selected, A Putaway Report will also print.

• The labels will be dispatched to the Dispatch Viewer and tied to the Sales Orders they are desired for.

• They are also located at the Sales Order Dispatch tab as well. These template labels can be designed however you desire.

Install Location Label Printing from Label Printing Manager

• If you however, do not print the Install Location Labels at the time of the Held For Backorders Screen, you always have the option to revisit this process at the Label Printing Manager button located on the Receiver.

• Here, you can make a decision on what sales order, you would like to print the Install Location Labels.

• Simply, select the Order No dropdown at top left to pick which order you would like to print the labels for.

• Confirm Label Qty, and Print Checkmarks, Template, and Printer and select Print.
